Most wildlife center directors in Africa work in almost isolation with limited resources and, at times, multiple setbacks. This is why we bring them together every year at PASA’s Strategic Development Conference to discuss challenges, share ideas, and create tangible, lasting solutions. We provide training to build their capacity to thrive, in topics such as enclosure construction, disease prevention, financial planning, fundraising, and social media.
Because most sanctuary staff don’t have budgets for international travel, PASA funds the conference and travel fees for one person from every wildlife center (around $2,000 each) to ensure PASA members have the access to information they deserve.
To make it possible for future leaders in Africa’s wildlife protection movement to develop their skills, make connections and prepare for senior leadership roles, PASA awards a Leadership Development Grant that enables a rising star to attend the Strategic Development Conference.
Our annual conference is crucial for improving primate conservation across Africa. Please make a donation today to help PASA protect primates from extinction, improve the livelihoods of African communities, and save the lives of hundreds of apes and monkeys every year.
