PASA’s 2019 Strategic Development Conference

The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA)’s 2019 Strategic Development Conference (SDC) will be held at Four Paws’ Lionsrock Sanctuary in South Africa from November 11th – November 14th.

This conference will take place immediately after a private Community Engagement Workshop (CEW), which will be held from November 8th –November 11th. The CEW will include strategies and skills for educating African adults and youth and working with communities.

Both conferences will include tours around Lionsrock’s expansive sanctuary for rescued big cats.

For PASA Members:
  • The closest airport to the conference venue is O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) near Johannesburg. If you are sending an educator to the Community Engagement Workshop, please plan for your education manager to arrive in South Africa on Thursday, November 7th and leave South Africa on Tuesday, November 12th. If you are attending only the SDC, and PASA is covering your costs, please plan to arrive on Sunday, November 10th and leave South Africa on Friday, November 15th.
  • Lionsrock is a three- to four-hour drive from the airport, and we will arrange bus transfers.
