TCHIMPOUNGA CHIMPANZEE REHABILITATION CENTER
The Jane Goodall Institute’s center for confiscated chimps and mandrills.
Established in 1992, the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre (TCRC) provides sanctuary for chimpanzee orphans, all victims of the illegal bushmeat or pet animal trades. In addition to the main sanctuary, Tchimpounga includes three islands located in the Kouilou River. There, the chimps can live in a more natural habitat. Visit Website.
