DONATE TO CHIMFUNSHI WILDLIFE ORPHANAGE

Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust is one of the oldest and largest chimpanzee sanctuaries in the world.

Chimfunshi is home to 120 chimpanzees, many of whom illegally smuggled into Zambia by poachers for resale as pets, or were rescued from the illegal bush meat trade.  An equally large number were rescued from dilapidated zoos and circuses all over Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America.  Chimfunshi gave many of these chimpanzees something they had not experienced in years — a loving family and space to call home.

Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust works tirelessly to improve the facilities and environment for the 120 chimpanzees and growing number of primates and other rescued animals onsite, but also for the expanding Chimfunshi community.  Donations are vital to not only provide sanctuary to these orphaned animals, but also to improve health care and enhance education for member of the community.

Every year apes and monkeys are subjected to horrible conditions as they are trafficked from country to country or held in tiny cages as attractions for tourists.  With your donation, you are directly helping the chimpanzees who have survived these horrible conditions.

Furthermore, Chimfunshi educates hundreds of school children and visitors every year, teaching a new generation to care for the environment and protect primates.

Your donation will be processed by the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA), of which Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust is a member. PASA is registered in the United States as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are fully tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.
